Probiotic lipogel

Topical lipogel formulated with an innovative blend of 4 selected probiotics,

specifically developed for the daily protection and well-being of the female intimate area (vulva, perineum and external vaginal area).

Its specific blend of 4 selected lactobacillus strains is designed to: 

  • support and restore the natural balance of the intimate microbiota and
  • promote a long-lasting protection,
  • alleviate discomforts associated with microbiome dysbiosis (itching, irritation, burning, redness and swelling).

The excipients included, particularly ceramides and shea butter, concur to restore the barrier function, counteract dryness and nourish damaged skin, enhancing the protective and soothing effect.

Indications

Recommended for the daily care of the external female intimate area, as:

  • Alternative to soothing / moisturizing products
  • Replacement for vaginal probiotics / anti-infectives  (suppositories / capsules), soon no longer prescribable

Complementary to antibiotic, antibacterial or antifungal treatments to:

  • prevent alterations of the intimate microbiota (dysbiosis).
  • prevent recurrences of bacterial vaginosis
  • alleviate particularly indicated for women suffering from frequent vulvo-perineal symptoms (itching, redness, irritation, burning or swelling sensations)

Ingredients

  • Lactobacilli strains: lactic ferments specifically chosen to support the stability and optimal level of bifidobacteria, restoring microbiome balance to maintain a healthy vaginal environment. 
  • Phenylethyl Rescorcinol:  brightening agent thanks to its melanogenesis modulating activity, it protects as well from oxidative stress (more effective and alpha-tocopherol).
  • Coco-Caprylate, Caprylic/Capric triglyceride: excipients that soften and smooth skin, leaving it silky without greasiness
  • Ceramides: restore the barrier function, improving dry, sensitive, mature or damaged skin. 
  • Shea butter: softens and nourishes dry and damaged skin, supporting barrier regeneration

Efficacy tests

1. Clinical test showed that after 6 days of application of Synprogin externally, 3 lactobacilli strains migrated into the vaginal mucosa. 7 days after all 3 strains were detected again,  showing their ability to persist and colonize, fostering a healthy microbiota.

2. Overall viability of the strains: after 5 months, results confirmed the stable presence of all 4 strains in the lipophilic matrix.

3. Clinical test on 10 women with vulvar dryness, after 2 weeks it was noticed:

  • - 56% vulvar dryness.

4. Clinical test on 5 women with vulvar erythema, after 1 week it was noticed:

  • - 70% erythema.
  • Improvement of vulvar discomfort, burning, itching.

Application

Wash your hands before and after use. Apply a small amount of lipogel to the affected area using gentle, circular motions. For external use.
